This new Buck-A-Block is very different. We provide the pattern as well as the background solid fabric as part of the monthly fee, and you choose the main color (solid or print) fabric.
There are two
main advantages:
1) You choose the color of the quilt you want.
2) The main color is purchased "up-front" to insure that a bolt
change doesn't change the shade over the course of the year.
This is how it
will work:
1) There is no book to buy or Buck-A-Block registration fee.
2) You start by buying 1-3/4 yards of the main color fabric (solid or print)
at our shop) and 1 package of Thangles. This is enough for the 12 blocks.
3) The no-fee registration will record what color/print you are using for
your main color and you will make your choice of which solid background
color you want. Background color choices are: White, Cream, or Black.
4) Pick-up period is from the 1st to the 30th of each month starting October
1st, 2006.
5) Monthly Background and Pattern Fee is $1.00.
6) Out of period pick-up block fee is $3.00.
7) Participant must personally pick up their own block (no exceptions).
8)The buck-a-block program does not include fabric for sashing, borders or
backing.
